Beth Kang Campaign

Project Overview

City Council candidate Beth Kang partnered with Shadow + Light Creative to produce a series of campaign videos designed to introduce her to voters in a clear, confident, and approachable way. With three videos created as part of the campaign, the goal was to present Beth as knowledgeable, professional, and ready to serve the Carthage community. Each piece was built to communicate trust and clarity, helping voters quickly understand who she is, what she stands for, and why she is running.

Cinematography & Techniques

Production was intentionally streamlined to keep the focus on the message. A controlled lighting setup was built in a conference room environment, creating a clean and polished look. A single-camera setup paired with a teleprompter allowed for strong, direct delivery while maintaining natural eye contact with the viewer. Careful attention was given to audio quality and framing, ensuring the final image and sound felt professional, consistent, and easy to engage with across platforms.

Visual Storytelling

The approach centers on direct-to-camera communication, allowing Beth Kang to speak clearly and personally to her audience. Rather than relying on heavy visuals or complex edits, the strength of the piece comes from clarity of message and authenticity in delivery.
