Project Overview

Bearded Bully Barbershop in Joplin wanted a social ad that captured the personality of their shop and the people who make it special. We spent a full day filming inside the barbershop, getting to know the barbers, the regulars, and the energy that fills the space. The goal was simple. Show the real vibe and let it speak for itself.

Cinematography & Techniques

The shoot focused on natural moments and real interactions. We worked quickly and unobtrusively, using handheld movement, practical lighting, and close framing to stay immersed in the shop. The edit leans on rhythm and texture, letting sound, motion, and expressions drive the pace rather than polish or staging.

Visual Storytelling

The ad highlights the barbers at work, the conversations in the chairs, and the confidence customers carry when they leave. Rather than following a scripted message, the story comes from atmosphere and attitude. Every shot reinforces that this is a place with personality, pride, and community at its core.

The Final Result

The finished ad delivers a strong sense of identity that feels authentic to Bearded Bully. It performed well as a social piece and helped deepen the relationship with the brand. Since completing this project, we have been asked back to create several additional videos, shoot barber photos, and even build a new website (beardedbullybarbershop.com) building on the trust and momentum established here.
