Project Overview

This project was produced for Dr. Ed Barlow’s "Theory of Us" podcast. The episode features a conversation with Dr. Scott Ragsdale and explores whether work-life balance is a myth or something that can be realistically pursued, along with related themes around responsibility, limits, and purpose.

Cinematography & Techniques

We set up a full lighting package, two-camera interview setup, and dedicated audio recording to capture the conversation with clarity and consistency. The production approach kept the focus on the speakers while maintaining a polished, professional look. In post production, the program was carefully edited to improve pacing, remove distractions, and highlight key moments in the discussion, while also allowing it to flow naturally.

Visual Storytelling

The story unfolds through conversation rather than action. Thoughtful camera switching and clean edits help guide the viewer through shifts in tone and emphasis. The visual structure supports the dialogue and reinforces the reflective nature of the episode.

The Final Result

The finished episode delivers a clear and engaging podcast experience that works equally well for video and audio audiences. It strengthens the "Theory of Us" series and presents a meaningful discussion in a format that feels focused, approachable, and well crafted.
